Curiosity question, will an overabundance of turks keep the deer away at all?

I have seen deer and turkey eating side by side with no issues. So I would say only if there isn't any corn for the deer to eat. But with the times shown in your pics the deer should have already been there at the feeder to eat.

deer are usually there before the turkeys are unless you have a feeder right by where they are roosting and I see a Tom in there with those hens, not good looks like they are going to start early again this year.

Good deal, they do seem to come in after 9AM which is usually 2 hours or so after my morning deer movements and earlier in the afternoon, 2-3 PM whereas my afternoon deer movements seem to be between 5-6PM.

Stuko, whereabouts are you at in Young county? In 5 seasons of owning the place, I've never seen the concentration of so many turkey out there...

Have a pig problem too? Looks like there are ruts under the feeder.

Yes, I have the occassional hog too at night. This is my one unpenned feeder, don't want to totally discourage the pigs from showing up...

In the Jean area, around garvey ranch road.

Our turkey are the same way as far as time goes. Usually the deer get first crack at the corn then the turkeys come in and take over. Most I've seen in 1 sitting was about 70.. It was unreal.

Turkeys have been showing up regularly at our place too. I don't hunt them anymore, just enjoy having them around.
