Agreed, Sat. only door buster, 5hr. promotion. They probably 5-10 of them avaialable. I'm always leary on whether they are actually returns or factory refurbs...

when I sold guns at BASS PRO they did that false add CR@p too !
They would put a add out for say a certain Winchester rifle for a good price and we would only have two or three of them in stock and no rainchecks ! People get upset when the store has only been open two hours and were already sold out !

Agreed, my take is its a ploy to get people to make the drive and get in the store. They will buy something.

Got to give big thumbs up to Cabelas today. Got there at 8:30 (doors open at 9) only to find that they had a tv add that said they were oping at 8 am. Half of the shoppers in the store had the scope in their hands. Asked about the scopes and was told they are all gone. Asked about the flyer saying 9 and store opening at 8. Manager said anyone wanting the scope to go to customer service and they would order and do free shipping to your home. I would say at least 100 got in the line and will have the scope shipped on the 26th. I got two and my son got 1 coming in the mail.

Thanks Cabelas for doing the right thing. And to all the people in line raising all kinds of heck, y'all really looked like immature idiots.

How much the conquest normally run for?

I called the main cabelas line and ordered 4 over the phone before 2 yesterday. I have not received the confirmation email yet. I called back later in the day and they said my order was good. $299. Free shipping. I think the tax for all 4 was $90 something.

Dang I guessed I missed out on this deal. Better wait for the next one

Boy, did I screw up on this deal.. I thought the sale was only going to be for the 5 hours and I didn't want to fight the crowds. Until I saw this thread this morning. Just called their Customer Service and it's back up to the regular price. Maybe next time.....

yep. man, i am glad i got out of bed to make the call. lets see if they show up. no email either since its a 'custom' order shipped from a non-cabelas warehouse but i have order number and confirmed it was in the system. now need some more luck using them.
