Just drill the base out, slip the bead-chain in with a "keeper" on the end going into the antler, fill the hole with 2-part epoxy and let it set up. That one would be cool on a table lamp pull chain. If it "clicks" against the fan body enough to be annnoying cover the chain with shrink-tubing. Safer than a key-ring! lol I nearly put my eye out with a barrel guage once while putting on my cap with my keys in my hand.
