I posted this in the "Gun Dog" section, but want to have more exposure:

"Mac is 13 and Duke is 7 now. I'd like to find a male pup that comes from gun dog lines to learn the business from Duke. I'm getting too old to follow a field trial dog. The pup will be spoiled like all the rest. Does anyone know a good breeder or owner of new pups somewhat close to Houston? I live in Magnolia, TX. Thanks."

Chief's Brittany's might be a place to start, but he's in west Texas.

Ronnie Smith kennels. It's a bit of a drive to Oklahoma but they have some good ones.

I found a nice litter in Palestine, TX. Half were orange and white, the others were liver and white (8 total). They are only 2 weeks old, so it's tough to make out anything other than markings. I gave the owner a deposit for an almost all white and orange head male. My granddaughter was with me, so not all decisions were mine!

Thanks everyone.

Here's a link to the litter if anyone else is in the market for a Britt pup.

Smokey at 6 weeks. I'll bring him home in 11 days. Will do my best to have him ready for some SD roosters come November!
