Ridgebacks make great blood tracking and family dogs. My female ridgeback has been great. I have a male that needs a different environment. The dog is located in Dripping Springs near Austin.

Brutus is a good natured 1 year old dog/puppy presently over 90lbs, he is expected to continue growing. He has some blood tracking experience but needs further training. He is pedigreed and registered. His parents are both from South Africa. His dad matured at 130lbs. He has lots of energy and is somewhat trained. He is still intact and not nuetered. He needs a different setting due to the fact of our previous mature female sharing the same yard. He has developed an unhealthy attachment to her and does not perform as highly as possible due to her presence. He is submissive to her and he has yet to develope any dominance and training has been negatively impacted as well. He is not aggressive, but somewhat timid. Eager for affection and very loyal. Great with kids but his large structure will easily knock over children under 5. He is very typical of all Ridgebacks including loyalty, endurance, heat tolerant, short hair with minimal shedding, and no barking except when valid. Brutus is in Dripping Springs and has been very well taken care of including all vet visits and Home Again chip.
See the video under ridgebacks.

Sounds like you went through a lot to get this dog and out some time in his training and your giving him away for free? Hmm

This dog has great potential and will make someone a great hunting dog with some additional tracking/training. That's why i'm posting it on this hunting forum so some deer/hog hunter and Brutus will both win. I have a great hunting dog already and having two is just one to many for my set-up.
