I've got a great opportunity for serious hunters out there who want to kill big bucks in the brush country. I am looking for a few more folks to fill our lease membership ranks of a large ranch (appx. 20,000 acres) in some of the best whitetail territory on the planet. The ranch is located in the Golden Triangle (Webb County near Catarina), which is known for producing record-setting whitetail bucks. It has awesome amenities and a state-of-the-art headquarters with a main lodge and several camp houses.

The owner institutes a strict management program that allows us the opportunity to harvest giant bucks. The membership is pricey but comes with 3+ bucks--trophy, management 8 pt, and cull(s). Lease price is $12,000 per membership. Before you groan or condemn (and I know the pool of folks that can afford such a place is small), this is a reasonable price for this area and a deal for the amount and quality of bucks you can harvest. If you know of something cheaper where you have the opportunity to harvest book deer in brush country, let me know.

The ranch is family-friendly and accessible year-round for every available hunting season (deer, dove, duck, quail, and turkey). We are looking for management-minded folks with long-term lease intentions. This deal is on a short fuse, so email me your contact information and I can provide you with more detailed information (hornhunterllc@gmail.com).

People pay that for 3 days of hunting. Sounds like a great opportunity.

Any oil or gas activities on the ranch?

Yes--there is O&G traffic. However, we saw a lot of indication that a lot of infrastructure has been laid in the last couple years (water lines, gathering lines, pipelines, etc.), so hopefully the major work has already been done. The ranch manager told us they didn't have much activity planned in the next few months but drilling schedules change every month. I think you are probably going to run into O&G drilling activity anywhere you go near the Eagle Ford these days.

It is partially high-fenced. There is a "tick fence" along the Rio Grande to prevent deer from carrying Mexican ticks across the border. There are also some game fences which separate the ranch from neighbors who have exotic game.

Is this the Galvan ? Or the River pasture?
Do you enter from Old Mines or from Catarina?

I really appreciate everyone that showed interest through their great questions in posts, emails, and phone calls. We ended up taking the largest of three pastures (10,000 acres)--which came with the lodging. The other two pastures were taken by different groups. I'm already looking forward to hunting season and will post pictures of the bucks we harvest. Good luck to everyone in your preparation for next season.
