SWFA is a great option, Skylar on here is the man to talk to. Another great option is Cameraland. Doug is on this forum as well.

SWFA is in Texas. Cameraland in NY. If that makes a difference to you...it seems to make a difference to some.

I think the deal is that NY is an anti-gun movement state. When you buy something from a company in NY (Nycameraland) he pays taxes that goes to the state. Therefore helps fund anti-gun agendas.

That is what others have said.

Doug pays state income tax, therefor even if you don't pay tax he does. New York uses these taxes to advance their anti-gun agenda.

Used to be buying american was good enough, now I am to the point where I am biased against buying in some states. At this point I will pay sales tax and shipping if it means I support a Texas company. Luckily Skylar at SWFA can work with you on shipping and taxes to make it comparable to the same deal you can get out of New York.

SWFA pays federal tax.
Obama uses that tax money to promote his antigun propoganda.
Kind of a silly argument.
Boycotting american businesses that actively promote outdoor sports is crazy.
NYC is the center of the American economy and probably the world economy.
Dont think some of, if not most of your money doesnt end up there.

You and I pay federal tax too, but why throw more money on the fire. If you don't want to support a Texas company fine, I can see your point. I also know new york is actively trying to ban guns, Texas isn't. If I can help it, not a dime of my money is going to be spent in such a state. Especially when I can get the same deal from a Texas company, and a very active fellow forum member. I don't have anything against Doug, but the only time I see him post on here he is just trying to make more money. Skylar on the other hand posts more helping people than he does trying to actively sell anything.

Always check Optics Planet for your item before you click "Submit Order".

They will probably beat SWFA prices and just about any scope will be shipped for free.

Optics Planet are flat out crooks. I would buy every scope DOug in New York has before I would spend a dime with OP again. and once again SWFA will price match.

That's possibly the most surprising thing I've heard in 2013. Out of curiosity, could you tell me what led you to that conclusion? All of my buying experiences and customer service experiences with them have been A+...

OP has had a bad rep some time now. One thing they are noted for is taking your money for items not in stock.

Google reviews for them. You will not like what you see.

To each his own.

If you call swfa ask for Skylar. Tell him your THF member name and tax/ shipping is taken care of. I've done business with him a couple of times and can't imagine someone else could offer better customer service. My 2 cents.
