I will post pics in the morning. I just got two 4x4 jeep Cherokees for $500 each Both are sport models. The grey one is an 89 4.0 sport And the gold one is a 94 4.0 sport.
The 89 has issues with the 4x4 but I think it will be a cheap fix.
One will be left at the lease and the other will be used for going to and from the lease.
Not a bad deal

They are not much to look at but will do what I need. Both motors run smooth.

Eventually I will put a small lift and tires on one for some off road fun. I'm going to gut the grey one. Remove all carpet, head liner and all the other junk I don't need. I may put bed liner on the floor.

I got the grey one home. Tomorrow I will start to gut it....remove carpet, head liner and all of the extra crap that won't be needed. I also need to put some metal down in the driver's floor as its rusted out some.
Will also add 6" off road lights to the cab.

So yesterday me and my 15yo daughter started on my 89 Cherokee. Got most of the carpet ripped out. Pulled the head liner. Installed some 6" off road lights. I wasn't going to camo paint it but I think the kids will have fun doing that so what the heck..... I'll let them have at it. I will post pics of us "MAKIN MEMORIES"

I work for a tow service. They were abandoned. We towed them and they were not picked up.
I've got the grey one at the lease now. After season is over ill be bringing it back home to replace a lot of little things, ball joints, u-joints, tie rod ends and stuff. I don't plan to make it road worthy but I don't want to worry about something busting in the back forty either. I'll also put some M/T tires on it too.
I need to get a front drive shaft for the gold one and start finding the grimlins living in it too. I plan to turn it into a mild off road rig.

Nice, I used to build XJs (Cherokees) for offroading. Here is a great place to start to get ideas: http://www.naxja.org/I was one of the founding members.

For that price you couldn't go wrong

I had one of these with a 3.5" lift and 265s as a ranch/playing rig. That little thing would go anywhere. Miss that truck

I put a 3.5" rubicon express lift and 31/10.5 muds on a stock 89 4 door and beat the ever living crap out of it. I rolled it, turned it over and beat the crap out of it some more. It never died, I just got tired of it.
