I hate paying 5x the regular price for laundry detergent for my hunting clothes.
Do the "scent-free" detergents from Tide or Arm&Hammer or another big brand do the same? or are the "DeadDownWind" and "ScentKiller" that much better?
Any input is welcome...

I use the Arm&Hammer and it seems to work just fine for me. But I am always in a blind also so not sure how it does if your up in a tree stand or tripod.

I don't use detergent, I just toss some baking soda in the washing machine and use warm or hot water. Sometimes a little bleach. It does the trick.

I tend to believe more in the hunting brand soaps. I always use the Fresh Earth or Autumn formula that smells like dirt. As soon as i wash the clothes they go in my scent free tub with a Fresh Earth dryer sheet to enhance the dirt smell. One bottle of soap $10.00 usually lasts me over a year.

I use the scent free soap and use about 1/2 cup of the actual soap vs full cup when washing my everyday clothes.

I let my camp soak in the water for a few minutes then start the washer.I also turn my camp inside out when washing/drying. I also use cold water.

One bottle will last a full season for most hunters.

Just dump 5 lbs of all these freeking acorns falling everywhere into à walmart tub with ur clothes:)

I don't wash my clothes during season. I bag them up after every hunt so I can preserve the "outdoors" smell. Works really well for me...however I did forget to bring them in one year after the season was over for about a month....my wife got pretty mad at me when I finally dumped them on the laundry room floor....????

I used the sent free tide all last year. I had a doe walk up with-in 10 yards of my tree stand and a 6 point buck with-in 15 yards. The doe didn't spook until I moved to draw my bow. The buck wasn't a shooter and just kept walking by. I also use the sent free Sure deodorant and soap.

Has UV killer as well, if you buy into that.

Dead Down Wind for me. Can't hurt but I don't think it will replace hunting the wind properly.

Best stuff I used was the primos earth scent cover up. That stuff worked great on my udder cloths and outer wear along with hedge apple and mud.

Sport-wash.

Baking soda for Odor elimination. Clean is a relative term. Clothing Rinsed well with Baking Soda and stored in a spacebag with Couple cedar branches during off season and between hunts.

i used tide free and shot a lot of critters. baking soda is the key ingredient in all the scent killer sprays. I hang my clothes outside at least the night before a hunt to air out as well.

You can put your wives perfume on your clothes.....as long as your hunting down wind, you will be fine. Doesn't matter what you use if you are up wind, that's a fact!

All of the anti scent soap, spray, and clothing is a big waste of money. It might work if you don't breathe..

No they have camouflage gum. You need to try it, the deer will not know you are there
