I bought 2 stealth cam game cameras last year from the forum and set them out this week for the first time. My problem is both of them work without an Sd card in them but as soon as I put a card in them they freeze up and do nothing? Anybody have tis problem?

What kind of SD cards you putting in them? I had a couple of Stealth CAMs a few years ago and always used Scandisk cards and never had a problem.
Did you format the cards?

Have read about folks having problems when placing SD cards from one camera into another. Are your SD cards new? When I bought my Moultrie a year ago, we had an old SD card around here and I tried using it - camera wouldn't work. At the time I just thought the card was bad and bought a new one from Staples. The cam fired right up. I use SanDisk, btw.

Some of the off brand SD cards will not work in some cameras. Kodak SD cards will not work in Cuddes. If you have not reformated the cards for those cameras you might try it.

I just had the same thing with a bushnel camera. I had put a 16gb in it and it called for a 2gb. Once I used the right one it works like a charm.

Yeah lots of them wont alow a large GB chipl We have 5 stealth cams, and while I wont say they hung the moon and stars they do work... as well as any other TC we have used and I like the 12 V rechargable batery pack option. We use 1 gig chips and never had a problem.

It's a 4 gb card out of my digital camera. I will go get a couple cards today and try it out. How do you format a card for a game cam?

Put it in your computer and right click on it, format should be an option. It will get rid of anythign on it so make sure there is nothing you want.

Try up to a 2 G.B. card. I believe a 4 G.B. is your problem.

Also check to make sure it is not an HDSD card and your camera will not use it. My Cudde won't take HD cards or cards over 2 GB.
