I am planning on filling two feeders this weekend so that I can do some hog hunting over the next month. Before I spend $$$ on corn...does anyone know if the hogs have been hitting the corn, or has all of the rain kept them busy tearing up the fields?

Hitting corn hard in San Saba too. May have to spin corn for 5-10 days to get them to start coming in. During the summer, I only sling corn in late afternoon. They've been getting hungry all day and can't wait to get to the feeder. The corn last twice as long that way.

If they are in the area im sure they are. unless your deer are cleaning it up before they get there.

Hogs are hitting the corn, if you have them around they will come.

We still have wheat and oats in the food plot and apparently acorns in the woods along with plenty of bugs and such under the leaf litter. The pigs are dropping by the corn and snacking at my place, but still leaving a lot behind for the other animals (North Texas). In fact, we get more images of the hogs crossing the pasture than we get at the feeders.

You could put yellow painted rocks in a sendero out there and they would eat it...

Corn good. Cherry flavored syrup on corn = better.

Put out corn and they will come! Preferrably broadcast feeder twice a day.

Coons and deer have been eating most of my corn lately. Hunting over a tube the other night I watched how the coons were getting the corn. One would stick a finger in the hole and pick out the corn. The other would climb on top, hang on for dear life and roll over backwards with the tube. I about fell out of my stand from laughing as I watched that over and over. As soon as my son gets back from camp I will let him do some pest control.
