Now that turkey season has come to an end it is time to start looking towards dove season. I would like to plant a dove plot for the first time but I am completely new to this. I have hunted over sunflowers before at a buddies place and we always shoot our limits. I am north of victoria, where it is already pretty warm. I think I may be too late for sun flower, so are there any other options? I have read Millet, and Maize, but does anyone have any personal experience and good advice on when to plant?

Thanks!

I would drill Maize and you need to get it in the ground now, and pray for rain. I would guess that far south, your already a month behind.
