Dude...you need to relax. Maybe take it soft and easy. Do you have something to add to this showing that I'm wrong with anything I posted? Last time I checked everyone is free to post their thoughts and ideas. I've done some reloading and read a few books on the subject but as my last post, which you actually quoted but must of missed, said "I would not say I'm an expert on balistics".
This gets back to taking it soft and easy vs hard n fast...maybe if you'd read my entire post before jumping on me it would be helpful in preventing an unnecessary post like the one you just did. But really overall if you have a hard time with people posting their thoughts and opinions on a forum such as this maybe you should avoid reading. I'd hate to make you all red in the face mad more than you already obviously are by your tone are.

Nothing beats lead, why because of it maleablity and weight density.
We all know steel is not the over achiever on the maleabity and weight density.. instead of thors hammer we now use thors iron tooth pick....thank you to all the ducks that died from digging deep down in the silt to find those pellets..
Find a load you want to shoot, choke it and pattern for your desired distance...then focus on not butt shooting ducks.
If your shooting at a flying duck your behind the duck, and butt shooting it...get infront of the ducks..it falls .
From personal.. non-scientist, non- repeatable, financially independent(means non-sponsored), and against the approval of my money manager..
I have found with the same choke that
Hevi metal, Kent,Hypersonics, blind side ..preform better on closer shots and blackcloud regs and snowgouse preform better further away.
My overall most consistant load both close and far are hypersonics....and I strongly atest that to its speed therefor over compensating for my lack of led.

Agree with you on lead...obviously tungsten is better but at many times the cost. Lead is probably the perfect pellet material...it's cheap and performs great. The other advantage it has over steel is that you can shoot it at slower FPS and because of the density it maintains lethal energy at greater distances and it doesn't have as harsh of recoil. To bad its toxic.

Hevi metal, Kent,Hypersonics, blind side ..preform better on closer shots and blackcloud regs and snowgoose preform better further away. Yep, and that is blackclouds purpose. Most of the shot in a blackcloud shell is not leaving the wad until 10 yards out. Some articles that did testing have said it retains the shot 12 yards out. http://www.wildfowlmag.com/tips_strategies_wf_smartwads_1209.html

Not suprising it really does work well at longer distance..even with a very light chock I feel it still extremely tight at 20yards When I patterned my Kicks Vortex Blackcloud Choke in MOD for SBE IIs, the pattern was nice and tight with 3.5" #2. It was def a goose slaying combo IMO. I don't goose hunt near as much as I thought I would and have been thinking of selling it... As far as Hevi-Metal, I liked it for taking out cripples. I know it's expensive shot for this, however, it ALWAYS laid them down with one shot even when they were out there a ways.

I shoot 3" 6s hevi shot with IC barrel. Kills them dead at 50-60 yds. This is not a cheap sport to begin with.I go to 4s late in the season. I'm not calling you a liar but I would like a pic of your pattern at 60 yards with said load/choke. I can't see somebody folding ducks that far consistently while shooting an IC choke. Maybe your 60 yards is a little exaggerated. If that's the case then ok.

These threads make me scratch my head every time . People just go shoot your gun with what ever choke you use to duck hunt with several different loads/brands at paper to see for yourself what works out of your tube. Then you can decide all by yourself what you want to spend on a box of shell to shoot those poor defenseless ducks! I would rather have a internet scouter asking for my hot spot than deal with the "sword" fights these threads bring on.

Pm garrett he has his reload down to a science.... I prefer to shoot ducks and not over analyze it. Dead is dead and whatever works. Got to hand it to the steel manufacturers they can even cause people to.get all buttsore over online debates. Great advertising for em.
And I completely disagree with Judd.

I vote we ban Judd for poor performance, and Taylor for not getting a jackplate yet We discussed this in the Moderators forum. Judd just got a warning. Taylor two weeks WOS for not getting a jackplate. He has two weeks to obtain said jackplate or his ban will be extended to a month.
