Has anyone been to this place or know anything about it? it is located in Baxter Springs Kansas. I have been told they do an excellent European style pheasant hunt.

You can do that in Corsicana, unless you want to drive to Kansas.

As a matter of fact, I'm headed there tomorrow. Never done the European hunt, but I hear its a blast. The field hunt is what it is. Guranteed birds and good time. The birds fly really well and the guides/dogs are great. I'm looking forward to it, I would recomend it.

Let know what you think about the hunt and the facility.

Had a great time. Very professional. We hunted in the afternoon both days. They served lunch prior to each hunt. Guide was very helpful, we hunted behind 5 good dogs. Second day was tough on the dogs, due to 25mph+ winds. We left some birds in the field on the second day, but otherwise very good. We also picked up some bonus birds both days. There were some other guys doing the Euro hunt(also in high winds), they seemed to enjoy as well. They now offer skeet and some fishing, we did shoot some skeet. I would recomend, we will be going back. We stayed in Joplin at the Holiday Inn, very reasonable. I think it was $70/night for 2 beds. Included breakfast and some free drinks at the bar.

I talked to a friend of mine that is taking his son and step-grandson in Febuary. He says they work very well with young kids. They allow the kids to carrry their own shotgun, unloaded. When the dogs go on point, the kid loads one round and they get the first shot. After that, its everone elses turn. Call Kim, the owner, and explain what you need. I'm sure he'll help!! Good luck.
