I can't find the regulations on hunting and fishing with my kids. I know they don't need a licence, but if they catch a fish, does it count towards my daily limit or do they get their own, and if they shoot an animal, is there a way to get tags for them, or do I use one of mine? Where can I find this info on tpwd website?

they need a youth hunting license (if they are younger than 16 I think-not sure b/c mine are 11 and 8 and I know they need the youth license.. It's $7. this gives them the tags they need to be legal. You don't want to tag the deer w/ yours.Just take your kids SS # w/ you to get a license. They'll need it to process

i was wrong on needing a liscence for hunting.
"A hunting license is required of any person, regardless of age, who hunts any animal, bird, frog or turtle in
this state (except furbearers, if the hunter possesses a trapper’s license). no license is required for
nuisance fur-bearing animals (see pg. 73), depredating hogs or coyotes (see below). non-residents under
17 years of age may purchase and hunt with the Youth Hunting License (Type 169)"

Yep need the 7 dollar lic. No duck tag for migratory hunting and their limits are their own fishing/hunting
