Ok so I just set a trap out in a wooded area that has quite a few acorns and pecans. I baited the trap with corn mixed with strawberry jello. Just curious what to use with all the groceries around the trap. There are tons of Fresh tracks around the trap and creek so I know they are moving through

That should work.

I usually will mix one large bag of jello for every bag of corn and let it ferment for 3-4 days before setting. Anything that gets the smell in the air helps.

If I have been fishing lately I use the left over guts and carcass for bait. With all the acorns on the ground right now hogs are staying away from corn in my area, but the fish guts always seem to catch a few.

Thanks guys. Kinda new at trapping. Do y'all put out any product around trap or just inside?

Put you a feeder on top of or in your trap and you can stay away from the area longer..

Walk in and set the trap.. Walk out and go PARTAY!!!!! Check trap next morning!!
