Once in the Hill Country I saw one at that time of the year with a yearling WT doe. She must have bred late as a fawn and had it late Oct or early Nov. Seen many of them in November but this is the only one in Dec. I have seen. My guess is a doe fawn bred last year in Feb or so.

I was hunting in Pearsall years ago in January and saw a fawn with faint spots still. Just a late drop i guess.

I have seen several does with nubbin buck fawns still with them through last week. This is the latest I have seen that - must be due to the drought.
