Had an ok hunt this morning. The birds were a little tough to work but we managed to still scratch a few.

Why are some of those mallards bills black, are they in full plumage ?

Why are some of those mallards bills black, are they in full plumage ? I think it might be the way the sun is hitting them. Idk. But thanks guys!

Nice Strap.. Why are some of those mallards bills black, are they in full plumage ? Freezing temps could make bills turn black?
