O.K. here's the deal. The timber company just cleared some timber on our lease(they are still there in fact),and my section now has about a 15 to 20 acre clear cut. There is a low spot with trees running on the east side and it rises up to the fence line on the west side. What I would like to do is place a tower stand on the western fence line(which is by far the best vantage point and only high cover) facing inward to my section and paint the back side facing our neighbors a bright orange for safety and not have windows on the back side either so that they know I'm NOT hunting their area. Do you guy's think this would be OK or am I still pushing it.

If you are looking back in to your property, i do not see the harm in it. Just my opinion. I say you have a decent plan.

Tolerance is the virtue of a man without conviction.

The end of the world began the day it was created, and life is a sexually transmitted terminal disease.

Painting it orange is for my safety, and my daughters who hunts with me sometimes. Not so dumb to me, just saying.

maybe have a talk with them about it. maybe look up the property on google earth and see if you can find any stands on their property that would make you think that it was an unsafe spot for your stand.
