Thanks guys. I only have a couple dozen to rig. Don't mind having some extra but don't want to buy enough to rig 100+ deks.
Talked to cody, he is out of pocket for a couple weeks. Was hoping to do something this week while im off.
Pm sent txpride

I buy the pre-made Tanglefree rigs at Academy. They have 4 foot and 6 foot. Weight on one end, clip on the other. Then buy a set of crimps, 24 to the pack, for around 2 bucks.
Cut the clip off of the Tanglefree and run the end through your decoy. Then make a loop and crimp.
Quick and easy.
Edit: This is NOT the soft PVC line. It is 400LB mono with a teardrop shaped wieght already attached. Never seen em online or anywhere but Academy.

Roger, I was in Academy just this week and saw those. I had thoughts to do the exact same thing. Good idea! With your lead...I'm gonna follow.

Where are you guys getting your materials? I priced the stuff to do this and the cost come out to about equal what I would pay if I bought them already built....... I think the lead weights and the swivel clips is what ran the expense up. I just got a set of Rigem' Rites for Christmas but I need about 3 more sets. I'd love to get into them for about half what I am paying for them....

.08 weed eater line, crimps, and weights. That's all you need.
