I have had great results with nosler 120 BT and W760 right out of nosler manual. Starting load in 48 gr and max is 52 gr.

On the 300 Blackout: 18.7 grains of H110 on a 125 grain bullet, 20 grains of H110 on a 110 gr V-Max. Hodgdon load data on 300 BLKTalk.

Never worked with the blackout. The 708 I have had good results with H4350 and varget powders and 140gr bullets. Most accurate loads in my rifles have been a gr below max listed in the hodgdon data. With various bullets partitions BT Accubonds. Did some real accurate loads with IMR4350 using swift siroccos 150gr bullets also.

Wrong powder, burns waaaay too fast for most all rifle cartridges except .22 Hornet.

Hodgdon lists some interesting data for it in their web data. Most loads show slightly higher velocity with less pressure than H110. The 300 Blackout has an expansion ratio more closely akin to a pistol cartridge than typical bottle neck rifle cartridges

Ahhh...I was thinking along the lines of the 7mm-08, wasn't even considering the .300 Blackout case. My error.

Used a 120 pushed by Varget this year, not overly pleased with the damage caused though so a 140 AB will be used next year.

Really ?
i havent really got to try my 120,s except some head shots on pigs and it blew them apart, I havent got to put them in a deer yet, my theory was my 139 btsp penciled right through so i thought the 120 pushed faster would do some more damage

I'm running pretty fast but put one through a buck at a lil over 250 and it penciled through, if it wasn't for hitting the perfect spot in the neck it would have been bad.

Yea I've had pretty good luck with them in other calibers, but the results we these weren't great. I've also lost a pig to the 120's as well.

As soon as I shoot a few more critters with the 120's I'll let y'all know. As far as right now the only thing they've been steeler on is coyotes, and I'm talking bone coming out the exit wound. It might be that I'm moving them too fast though at around 3400 but we'll see.

I haven't used the 120s in about 15 years, I hear they went to a thicker jacket since then. Used them in the 7-30 Waters Contender for several years. Wasn't that impressed with their performance at 2500fps on deer but worked great on coyotes, never lost a deer shot with them but never got an exit either.

The batch I'm shooting is fairly new so it should have the thicker jacket. The 2 yotes that have fell to them were fairly close (80 & 45yrds) both had nasty exit wounds, the one at 80 even had bone blown out. The deer on the other hand was no were neer as impresive just penciled though, no blood until the deer was hung then entrance and exit wound bleed a lil. I didn't think too much about it since it did drop him but at the processors when skinned no trauma at all just simple in and out hole.
