My first hog. Shot from almost 200 yards on black friday. Nothing special, but exciting as it was my first nonbird game to shoot.

Good shooting! Looks to be good eating size, too. Look at the long snout on her! Congratulations.

Good job. I remember how exciting it was to kill my first hog. Still exciting but they are a pain in my arse now at these corn prices.

I've always called those long snouted piges "piney rooters". She looks like she just raised or was raising a litter. Congrats on the kill.

It's the time spent in God's creation with family and friends making memories that counts.

We smoked the meat from her and had it for dinner that night! She had a bunch of babies so I took her out hoping the piglets wouldn't survive either

Over spring break I missed a big male hog. I knew it was at over 150 yards and there was a little elevation in there too. The feeder is across a creekbed and I was up on a hill. I knew my gun was sighted in for 100 yards so I aimed right on the top of its head behind the ear, but I missed and must have overshot. So this time I put the crosshairs right where I wanted it and dropped her right there. I went for the body shot because I wasn't confident in the behind the ear shot at that distance.

Wasn't guided or anything, just helping the uncle and the state of Texas out by getting rid of these things
