My son in law and I were walking back up the road from crappie fishing and saw 2 deer crossing the road where 4 hunters had their trucks parked. All they had to do was sit in there truck and they could have had a deer. Instead they were way off in the woods waiting for a deer to come by. The deer should have left a note on their windshields that said better luck next time, we will be back after you all leave.

I saw a big 9 pt two days before that walked up on me while I was fishing. I think he scared me more than I scared him.

Reminds me of the time I spent almost an entire morning on my stand, only to find two deer standing next to my ATV when walking back to it.

It's happened to me enough times that I now often just back my truck half-way in some trees and watch right-of-ways cut through the oak trees. See alot more deer on those days as they graze the acorns than I ever do sitting in the stand, plus I'm more comfortable.
