I was wondering if anyone has had any luck on the WMAs that allow hunting with any legal means. I just bought myself an MP15 for Christmas. With the money I spent on everything I can't afford to pay for a hunt. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have not hunted on public land, but I have looked into it. Here's a link to information on specific places around central Texas: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/hunt/public/lands/table_contents/6austin.phtml Basically it did not seem to me that there were many places in the middle of the state that allowed hog hunting with rifles. There are some spots that permit archery, and some that allow shotguns.
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

I've never hunted hogs on public land, but I haver seen them a couple of times while I was hunting doves. Unfortunately, a lot of the public sites have requirements about the shot size you can carry while hunting doves, and I'm not going to shoot a pig with #7-1/2 shot, and with my luck if I carried buckshot, that would be the day a Game Warden decides to check. I have heard good things about the hog population at the public sites in the Waco area. These sites only allow shotguns or archery.
Alcohol,Tobacco, and Firearms. Should not be a government bureau. Should be a department store.
