Going Aoudad hunting next week with Mulie Mike and I am stopping for the night in Abilene to break up the trip. Wondered where a man might grab a good dinner?

Is the Town Cryer in Abiline still opean ? had great food ? Yes. Haven't been there in a while. In fact, I had forgotten about it. Good food the last time I was there. Maybe someone can chime in that has been there recently.

Yep, and it's still good. Proposed there 38 years ago and still got her.

Had a Christmas party last night at Al's Mesquite Grill, the newest BBQ house in Abilene. I will definitely be going back but not until next year's Christmas party. Bland, bland, bland. Makes Brownwood's Underwood's boiled beef taste like gourmet food.

Yeah, Joe Allen's isn't as good as it used to be, but it's still good. Town Crier is still good and Perini's is phenomenal.

What about that Belles chicken house, it's pretty good. Kind of a throw off of Babe's.
Then you also have Lytle Land Joe's ex-wifes place

Only problem with Lytle is it's a lil to high for what ya get. Same with Perini's. To bad the Shed ain't still around.

The shed was awesome. Harold's was the place but closed now. Beehive, perinis, joe Allen's, Lyle are all really good. If you like fish, I'd go with deutchlanders in buffalo gap.

Copper Creek on the south loop. Great steaks and salmon.
So she says "sure Honey, I agree, you DO need a new deer rifle..." And that, boys, is how I ended up with new living room furniture!
