We got all that rain yesterday and earlier in the week and so far it's measuring out zero in the Barney. The ground is just soaking it all up.....

You could almost hear the ground soaking in that rain. It was too slow and steady here for any run-off. I;m not complaining though.

Yea, every rain event we get, i go online and check levels only to find very little rise at best, while some areas are still dropping.

We're gonna be in big trouble next summer if this don't turn around.

The Barney really needs water in the upper water shed to really do any good. Rain directly on it seems to effect it very little and the first rain we got this week that area only averaged .33 inches. The water shed area includes northern Hunt county, southern Delta and southern Fannin counties in the middle and south Sulphur River drainages. These drainages are just so dry that it is going to take several rains to create in runoff at all.
