This 12 point showed up on game cam 2 pm Sunday afternoon. He looks to be 13" to 14 " inside and very tall. He has hung around in a small area since then courting the females. I guess him to be a very young deer with great genetics. More pics coming hopefully. What ya'll think?

I would call him 3.5 to 4.5 from that one picture. Leaning toward 4.5... Would be curious to see some more pictures of him and the full picture instead of a cropped one if you have it Great looking buck

I'll try to post more pics if I can get them. My sil downloaded them to his home pc and for some reason can't send them. This picture is off his desktop screen taken with an Iphone. These dang young people think they have to work all hours and or never at home. Happens it's his game cam. One reason I felt he was young besides body stature is the fact he is hanging around the does but is not the dominant buck and even though bucks have been in heavy rut here for a week or more he does not show wet legs and swelled neck.

Depending on when the pic was taken I would call him 3.5. Not enough staining on his hocks or muscling in his shoulder/neck area to be 4.5 IMO. The way his standing his effecting what we are seeing also. Whatever age he is he is a great looking buck.

Well then with that much info then I would say he was born on May 27th at 5:23 am in 2008 on your neighbors place to the east. I am going to stick 3.5 then based off of the date of the pics. You should be in the rut right now and he shows no signs of it. Tremendous buck either way for his age.

Just a guess but I would guess 4.5 years or older maybe based on his brow tines. Not much of a belly on this one but you have to consider the effect of the drought. I think I would shoot him if I had the chance.

He has the flat belly and back look, and the line between his neck and shoulder are very feint, all suggesting he is 4.5 but his long leg appearance, very little muscling of the front shoulders and having a smaller neck during this time all suggest 3.5... More pics would definitely help

I'll also say that the one on the right in my sig would only show up on a Wed, Thur, or Fri in the middle of the month of Nov and Dec. Whatever he was doing to keep from being seen and killed he was slick about it.
Yours could have followed a doe up to your setup. Change your pattern and habits (noise, or walk verses drive etc.)and you might get a shot at him.
Good luck.

Here is a updated pic from the front. What do you think now about trophy mount or age? Change anyone's opinion?

I would say 3.5 as well. Mills county has some really good deer along the river. Have y'all seen this buck in person? I would love to see what that deer looks like in a non drought year.

This deer is located in central Mills a few miles north off hiway 16 on property owned by my two sons and daughter. He has been looked at and let walk a couple of times by one of my sons.

3.5. No mature buck is going to have stain free hocks with the rut about to happen or is happening. Look how long those legs are, how flat his stomach is. You asked for age so that is my guess. If he makes you grab your gun shoot him, if he doesnt, let him walk. That buck has unbelievable potential.
Let'em grow old

I would call him 3.5 to 4.5 from that one picture. Leaning toward 4.5...
After that pic, I am leaning the other way... Great looking deer and with the body size, I bet that deer looks like a beast on the hoof
