My Son got a 9 point mule deer this morning. Saw several does and a couple of small bucks and spikes while in the stand so we decided to get out and walk when we saw this one. Shot it at over 100 yds.

Fun is over, now the work begins

Congratulations!

one question?

is it common up there to hang your deer and skin it neck down?

We've always hung them up by there hocks and skinned them that way

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Good looking mulie taken by a fellow Buff. I saw a monster mulie just down from my house this morning, just don't have permission to shoot him. frown

TxTrophy, I do it that way and never have to gut it. Get everything but the tenderloins. All your left with is the cavity. Plus when you cut one hind quarter off, you dont have to hang on to the whole deer to cut the other off lol
