They are in a full rut right now from what I've been seeing...saw 3 different bucks chasing does last weekend and 1 of the 3 was a mature 10

I'm on the north side of the county in Commerce area and wouldn't think there would be that much of a difference but what do I know. I will be back in stand Saturday and hopefully be able to see some more.

Bucks chasing does doesn't mean the rut is full in; I've been hearing this from a month from NEW hunters that don't know any better. It may be pre rut, but a buck chasing a doe does not mean the rut is in bloom.

Good grief they just went into a full rut last week up north (Kansas, Nebraska) and they start long before we do.

As I stated above, I will be back in stand on Saturday and should be better suited to say more. Also you MAY be correct that it doesn't mean full rut but based on TPWD website, my observations and 4 different friends with land and leases all in the same area (Greenville to Sulpher Springs up to Wolfe City) I am more of the opiniom they ARE in rut. Last I checked, we are not in Kansas. Just sayin.

Doggone wind is going to be blowing out of the south this weekend.Warm and muggy...at least no full moon.

Saw a young buck breed a doe in hopkins co. sunday so pretty sure the rut is on! He never would have got the chance if he was a legal deer. Hate AR rules!

I just got back home from my blind. It appears to be going on now. I jumped a doe and buck going at it. They never winded me, but I startled them.
