rattling in S. texas too early?

Well is it too early to rattle in south texas I'm talking about south of hebbronville on 755 were supposed to be getting a cold(ccol) front early morning in the 50's and wanted to see what my chamces could be.

I hunted down south of H-ville for the past several years. The rut won't kick off good until the week of Christmas. You'll some youngsters doing a little chasing in early December.
Along about mid-December you should have some bucks (mostly younger) respond to rattling. If you decide to give a try, I'd do it away from my primary hunting locations and I wouldn't get too crazy with it. Maybe just tickle 'em a little.
I'm certainly no expert on the area or rattling for that matter. Last year I had very little success with rattling. I had much better success with a grunt tube. The year before we had really good results from rattling and grunt tube.
That's why suggest experimenting away from your primary hunting locations. Good luck.
