I have been making duck calls for a few years and really enjoy hunting with them. While I have made quite a variety of types of calls, I have been experimenting with a few new things lately. My hunting buddies have been enjoying using them and I have been prodded by them enough to finally consider selling a few if there is any interest. These latest calls use echo inserts so I could change them out for timber or open water reeds based on your interest. Right now, these are both double reed calls and have a great sound with quite a bit of range. One is turned and polished clear acrylic with an aluminum band. It turned out really well and takes very little pressure to get a clear sound. If you want to work on feed calling and chuckles, this would be a good call to work with. The second is Lacewood with an inlay made of coffee grounds and a copper band. This is my "wake up and smell the duck blind" call. Both calls are taken with a 3" shell in the picture for size reference. You might be surprised at how hard it is to get a good picture of a clear call. I would love to hear your feedback and based on what I hear, you might see these and more showing up in the classifieds.

Question: Is that lacewood a type of micarda? It looks very similar.

chilled shot, the Lacewood is not a micarta. It is just an even, tight interlocking grained hardwood.

Thanks for the info. Not real keen on all the different types of wood but knew they looked similar.
