My buddy Dillon has been deployed in Afghanistan the past 6 months , carving decoys in his tent in between missions. He is an Apache pilot. He was able to come into town on his short leave with enough time to get one hunt in. Labman provided a place for us to hunt. This will probably go down as my favorite hunt ever. Camraderie is what it is all about. We had a great time, it was awesome to see Dillon soaking it all in. Thanks Jeff, I can't express how awesome it was.

Here is the death pic

And a few of Dillon doing what he does.

Very good. Great story and thanks for sharing on the forum. Glad to hear y'all had such a good time. I did a hunt last year in LA with 4 servicemen. Well and one servicewoman. It was definately my favorite hunt last year due to the comraderie as well.

Great story!!!

We had a fun shoot for a buddy home from Iraq on R&R a couple years ago. He moved out of state but still posts around here.

I'll remember that shoot and hunts with him a long time.

Since he is in the service, I'll let the shooting of jacks pass this time.
Glad you got him out on a hunt before he goes back.

Unfortunately he didn't have time or room to bring them, but here is a pic of some of his blocks along with a wood duck we shot over them last year.
