Any Rudy's - all over texas, I know they sold out and it's a franchise now, but it's still pretty good.

nothing wrong with Rudys...I hate how County Line in austin always wins best BBQ in town, that place is terrible, Rudys is the best in Austin, anyone that eats BBQ knows that.

cant stand county line, it just all about the atmosphere, thats how they win every year.

It is pretty hard to find good BBQ in the town where I live, but one place stands head & shoulders above the rest. They have two stores here in town. There name is "BUCKINGHAMS" (the owners last name).
Now if I am in the Kansas City area, it is a no brainer- I'm going to GATES on Stateline Road just off south I 435.

Right in the heart of Southlake is a place called the Feed Store that's really good. It's north of Southlake Blvd on White's Chapel. The sliced beef is to die for.

Saltlick outskirts south of austin and rudy's.

I vote Dickeys or Spring creek fot the worst BBQ. Talking about the meat not the sides.

I agree that Cooper's in Mason is better than Cooper's in Llano-at least based on my last visit to each one.

My last trip to Cooper's in Llano was very disappointing. My one (and only) visit to Cooper's in Mason was very, very good.

Some of the best and some of the worst brisket I ever ate came from the same Rudy's location-and just a couple of weeks apart.
