I know they are speed demons but are the new ones faster than the old ones?

Are new ones easier to steer?

Fuel Injection better than carberator?

I think you meant "not" speed demons. The ones with power steering are easier to turn, same speed governed.

I have one of the original old school ones and it will run circles around my dads & bro in laws, I think theirs are 2 or 3 years old. Not positive about the brand new ones with the efi & power steering, but I'd bet they are gov'd the same. Your best bet is to call a dealership.

I have had both and they run the same speed and around 25 mph max. The new fuel injection is great for starting on colder days and much better that the carb. The powersteering is ok and do not notice that much difference with or without it. I do not like the positioning of the parking brake in the new ones...it hits my legs when I swing to get out and I am always pushing it down taking the brake off. The fuel gauge on the newer models is a PITA as it is under the seat and you need to lift the seat to see how much fuel you have left. The newer EFI one also was not as fuel efficient as the old carb style either.

I have a 2010 610 4x4, carburated. No trouble starting, just use the choke and starts every time. No power steering and I haven't noticed any trouble. 25 mph is the max speed and I've read where some folks tried to modify it to get a little more speed to no avail. Unless you use it smooth roads, anything over 25mph will be bouncing all over the place. I have no complaints other than ground clearance and I ruined a tire...

I'm going to add a 2" lift ($100) and now that I need a new tire, I might buy some that are an inch taller.

You're welcome to come over and give her a spin.
