We do an annual guided trip just to do something different and are leaning towards shooting some mallards over peanut fields in Oklahoma this year. Does anyone have any recommendations for outfitters up there? Any reports on if they have water or not?

I live on Texoma and travel to our deer lease on the Kansas/Oklahoma border weekly. The whole state is low on water, but there is enough for the birds. Been seeing lots of ducks and geese throughout the state. Give Goose Cowboys a call. They'll do you right and put you on birds Rollan Dennis out of Madill and Soldier Creek hunts all private in the Tishomingo area and has always had some great hunts.... Honestly Rolan hunts the same type of waters that JJ Kent does. JJ actually has better private grounds with a lot of it planted this year. In my opinion, it would be better for a Texas guy to hunt with JJ and save their out of state license expenses.

Rolan and I hunt different properties that are connected throughout the area. We both live in the same town. He hunts the same waters as I do on public land also. I'm actually friends with his boy. I'm not throwing Rolan under the bus, so not sure why your making a pissing match out of this. What I'm getting at is Texas guys can hunt the South side of Texoma with no additional cost to their license, or drive an extra 20 minutes to the North side if Texoma and pay for more license fee's.

I've hunted Texoma in the past and we're looking for something different. Last year was private timber in Arkansas. Year before that was ducks and geese in the panhandle. This year we're leaning towards peanut field mallards. Don't fight over me boys. Might consider a trip around Lake Fork, too. I've yet to shoot a can. Keep the suggestions coming.
