for all the naysayers.... my hunting buddies and I went out earlier this year with a roll of butcher paper and the following:

-HeviMetal 2s
-Kent 2s
-BlindSide 2s
-Xpert 2s
-HyperSonic 2s

While Kent was still the best consistently for my gun... BlindSide was the best all around across all guns and chokes. My primary gun is a Benelli Vinci with a Carlsons Crio Mod. I also patterned with my Rem 1187 w/Carlsons Mod and BlindSide was slightly better than Kent.

All around, I figured I will continue to shoot Kents... but thought if BlindSide comes down in price or if its all I could get somewhere and needed shells... I would absolutely have confidence in it.

On another note, HeviMetal was a HORRIBLE pattern out of ALL guns between my hunting buddies and myself. The only thing I can figure is it MUST have different knock down power, because the pattern is utterly horrible.

I have never shot the hevimetal, but that is what I would have expected. It's mostly steel shot with a mix of a few smaller diameter hevi shot pellets mixed in. Though the few hevi metal pellets are supposed to be a smaller diameter to match the weight of the stated steel shot size on the box I can't see how this duplex load could not have some pattern problem from the different types/diameters of pellets. And who knows what it does to the shot string. There are no widely avalable duplex steel shot loads from anyone else. I think there is a reason for that. It is only a marketing ploy IMHO. There is nothing heavy about it considering if you buy say a box of #2 hevimetal, the steel shot may be #2, but the hevi shot in the mix is really #4 to #6.

I have had years where I shot expensive stuff and had terrible hit-kill ratio and times where I shot cheap stuff and knocked em dead. I'm still confused. Heavymetal #6 did really well on teal this year but then again so did expert steel????

If Blind Side pattern well then that's great but you are still overpaying for marketing hype IMO. They have all kinds of crazy claims that make no sense which makes me think they think duck hunters are idiots...perhaps many are.

What's funny is they take about how they stack the pellets meaning there is more room for more pellets but they can't get over the load vs speed issue that all shot shells face. So pretty much these shells try to solve a problem of loads not being big enough I guess...but they fail because they can't just put in a bigger load without slowing the FPS way down....so in the end they have loads that are pretty much the same as others.

I could go on....but really just save your money.
