Hunting on 200 acres in Rocksprings....have 4 sites set up and still a few spots where we could have some set ups and hunt because of the valleys and canyons on the property but not sure it would be too much of a waste of feed or would we be just thinning out our population.

Conclusion.....How many hunting spots would you set up on 200 acres of hills and valley?

I think 4 is probably plenty. That's 50 acres per and 50 acres ain't nothing to a deer. If you put anymore up you will just be dividing your herd amoung all the feeders, which means less deer per feeder.

Too many feeders and you'll just spread the deer out. I say no more than 2. 3 at the most.

You can put more stands up then feeders. We have 2 feeders on 40 acres but 6 stands. Being the property is long and narrow we have lots of trails crossing the property. Mainly use the 4 other stands as bow stands and can use diff ones depending on the wind that day. I've killed my bigger deer off the property on the stands without feeders. Go figure.

I have 4 feeders on my 315 acre place, but only a couple of hunters. It DOES spread the deer out. I am going back to three feeders, but more stands in key areas like LockartHunter above.

My setup will be one corn feeder wide open for the hogs and two fenced set ups with a corn and protein feeder at each.

1 per every 100 acres is ideal

You can put up more blinds without adding feeders.

Try putting up a couple blinds where you can watch travel areas further away from the feeders.

We had a 100 acres and at one point had 5 blinds covering about 70-80 acres of it with feeders. We managed to knock it down to 4 but I think that was pushing it a little bit.

Or for different wind conditions or directions.
