Been hunting since Friday am
We are on a MLD property just South of Seguin
Hunting with my brother and my dad came out yesterday evening
Nothing better than hunting and reliving old times with family as far as I am concerned.

Deer are moving
We are hunting a seismicine clear cut sendero that was made early this summer
The area we are hunting hasn't been hunted but there are two protein feeders that have been out here a long tme
We decided not to put up corn feeders and Thursday night put out a bunch of corn and protein on the road

Haven't shot abuck bad have seen plenty of young ones and a few cull candidates for my oldest son in 2 weeks

Brother saw 2 nice bucks full on fighting at 300 yards out
Not young bucks sparring

We both came very close to pulling the trigger ona monster 8 but are holding out

I did get to test my new rifle and I feel very good about if
It is a Nosler 280AI with a Zeiss victory FL 4-16x50

Shot a doe at 346 yards Friday evening through the neck.
And yesterday morning lined up two small 60 lb pigs and drilled them both right behind the ear at 180 yards

I am liking this rig!

It is. a beautiful morning to be out hunting, still, quiet and crisp
Sun is starting to pop and I have had a doe and a young buck off to my left on a hill side feeding.

Waiting for papa grande to step out
