I have had Nikon, Leupy, a cheap Bushnell, and now a Zeiss. Sighted in the Zeiss today at the range and loved the clarity.

i put ziess, but just ordered a vortex pst and hopefully will like it better You should really enjoy that, I love mine, they are great optics. I like Swaro too but way too expensive They are actually on sale. Swaro has their anniversary pricing going on right now. Optical clearity and lightwieght. They are very hard to beat.

It's not as nice as some of the ones listed, but I like my Burris Fullfield II.

i put ziess, but just ordered a vortex pst and hopefully will like it better That will depend on what Zeiss you will be comparing it to. I have a PST but it doesn't compare to a Zeiss Victory, not even close. You might like it better than a Conquest because it is loaded with features.

I only have Simmons scopes. I've looked through them all and wish I could afford a Ziess or Swaro but I get great deals on these Simmons(buddy) and for the price I don't think you can beat them. Using the Simmons Whitetail Classic on my new Vangaurd and love it.

depends on the rifle 6.8 AR for hogs and stalk hunting deer: S&B 1.5-6x42 Flashdot #9 308 bolt for long range: USO SN3 3-17 Nosler 280AI hunting rifle: Zeiss Victory FL 4-16x50 I just got the last scope in for T&E and I will figure a way to not have to send it back, just got to get some creative financing going on It's got amazing resolution in low light and I would feel confident on a deer at 500 yards at last possible light on a dark night... Having said all that... I think the best deal for an all around hunting scope is the Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 mildot / green dot Great glass, and it holds it's own against the top euro glass, they are better of course, but there is a cost of diminishing returns once you get over 1K for a scope...

While there is certainly better glass in the Swaro and maybe the Zeiss, I still chose Leupold. I love my VX-III and VX-R. More over, American made, fantastic warranty, great service. They have always gone above and beyond to remedy every issue, and that is worth a great deal.

I also hear Vortex is a fine US company as well, offering a no-BS warranty. Will likely give them a shot on my next spotting scope.
