about the North American Hunting Club. Has anybody got anything from them or is the magazine worth the dues.

I am a Life Member, but I am beginning to have mixed opinions about the place.

Just got the Dec./Jan. issue today, and in one place they have a story about a "Management" bow hunt on a 5000 acre Trophy White Tail Ranch.

Now at no point in the story can I find anything saying that the place was high fenced, but looking at the prices and sizes of bucks that they offer, and since it is with in 60 miles of San Antonio, I would bet that it is high fenced.

Then, 8 pages further on in the magazine there is a two page article titled, "The Ethics Of High Fence Hunting".

Something just seems wrong with that, having an article about high fence hunting by one writer then having an article questioning the ethics of high fence hunting 8 pages apart.

The NAHC and NAFC, expend more energy in trying to sell stuff thru their various "Clubs".

Their articles are okay, but rarely are they about the type of hunting we do in Texas.

In my case, the money has already been spent, but if it were to do over again, I might re-think my decision. JMO.

Texas Sporting Journal. Not all about hunting, but it's a good read.

Used to get but it seems it's more for "Northern" North Americans and does not have much for southerners. I like my Texas Sportsman and Field in Stream for national(but I'm slowly getting sick of more add pages than articles.
