That looks like it would work, but if it's a bigger dog 80lbs or more would the table legs hold?

That's it. My dog weighs close to 70 and it holds him fine. It can be unstable if you can't dig it in deep enough, I think some pointed pvc attached to the legs would solve that pretty cheaply.

You can use a chair if needed.

2x2 piece of 3/4 inch plywood, 2" PVC 90 degree T cut at an angle to put the legs at an outward angle, 8 bolts to bolt the 1/2 T's to the plywood, 4 legs cut at whatever length you want (drill holes every 6" so the legs fill with water so it won't float and a piece of outdoor carpet and you are done.

I built one last year and it worked great.

Glad my you find my design to your liking. Been using it for over 10 years. Anyone that builds one will throw rocks at the spensive pooch stands.

Thank you Homey...I saw it on another forum that we don't mention here so I didn't wink

Yes, it is a great stand and I have let 2 buddies use it for their dogs and they both wanted one.

It ain't light and you don't really wanna pack it a long way but for boat or utv hauling to and from it is perfect.

I used a $7 rubbermade bucket from Walmart and a couple of old cans of spray paint. Make sure to drill some holes so the air comes out when you put it in the water.

Dog stand plans

The last pic in there shows the legs angling out, I think that is key for stability. I could not be bother making my own, sport stand below..

Added some camo material on top of an old piece of carpet. Done in about an hour.
