Compiled by TPWD from 1983-2005.
Rare in the panhandle, but they have been found.

There used to be some on the west end of the canyon/lake way back when. We'd see them at the airport too. Used to hide in the grass on the edges of runways and taxiways and wait for a rabbit to cross...

We had 5 I could document, plus some Jacurundi around Medina Lake
a few yrs. ago when I still ran hounds. Except for Ernie Lerma
the Game Warden here then...the State could have cared less and
the Game Bio...showed no interest...One thing I can assure you,
if you have big cats...the deer will be few and far between..DD

I watched one from a distance in Montague county about 10 years ago while turkey hunting a big property. I was thinking what the heck is that? Watched it for awhile until it walked out of sight.
