Friends of mine hunt Trent and they've killed some hogs and a few bucks. They have wind generators on their place on top of some large headers. They've been on it now for about 5 years so I guess it's not that bad. They used to hunt Robert Lee on a ranch that was overpoulated so this has been a transition for them.

I hunt just south of Lake Sweetwater. Some years good, some years bad. Nothing over 120. The hog hunting has been getting better every year. We are surrrounded on two sides by the windmills and it didn't seem to effect our hunting. This summer, they ran a transmission line on the ranch that borders our east fenceline (which is where I hunt). It will be interesting to see how this will effect the deer.

We were at the wild game processors in Coke county (next to Nolan county) this weekend and he had several bucks in the cooler that had been brought in from Nolan County. There were a few decent ones, but the only 2 real standouts were from a Coke County high fence location. We haven't seen many bucks moving yet in Nolan County yet(we are in the Blackwell area), but lots of does...and several still with fawns.

Don't worry about the windmills (if you have any). I've seen deer in an open wheat field walk behind them and use them for cover when I drove through the field. The only draw back is the amount of traffic in and out to service them. Darn things break down more than a Yugo.

We dont have any windmills on the property.. And from all the signs I have seen we have plenty of hogs and looks like a decent amount of doe tracks, on nice size buck track.... but really have not had time to explore the property yet. How do I add a pic here?

Ok went to the lease again and still have not seen a deer!! Begining to think that the owner has a pair of deer hoof boots and is running all around the property! Did see some turkey this time though.

I hunted 1200 acres off of Adrian Road about 9 miles east of Sweetwater for a year. We killed several hogs, a few turkey, and a decent 8. Landowner sold the lease the next year so we only hunted it one year. Can't say I miss it too much, didn't see too many deer.

1200 acres? How far south of I20? We were probably only 1 mile to 2 miles south. If it is the same property, I can email you some of the pictures of the deer we saw on cameras.

I will be hunting a few miles north of you this opening day at a friends place. I have been out a few times to his place to work and have shot a few pigs while out there. Last year I saw a great buck that I passed cause he was all broken up but he was a shooter.

Thanks Cody... This place is 1100 acres but does not have a house on it... it has to be close to where you were though. Thanks for the pics!! Makes me feel much better about the place.

Cody, was your lease on the east side or west side of Adrian Road?
