Well I'm going to try to get him on the ground and then measure (maybe)! I have pics of this buck for the last 4 years and I know he was a minimum 2.5 year old when I started getting pics, so he's at least 5.5 now and maybe older. Defintely a mature buck. What do you guys think? He's from norther Erath county

5.5 look right for the age as he does not look any older to me. He looks more like 12" inside to me. Great looking buck.

That deer looks a lot like a 10 that was ran over in Woodville last week. He had very long main beams and 2s and 3s. Game Warden picked him up and I put a tape to the inside spread, 11.5 inches. He told me there would be no way he would write someone a ticket for this deer.

I think as Savage338 pointed out game wardens have to have to have some common sense if it is a mature deer is like yours and it's close, no ticket...

It's a very nice deer,but I would be afreid to shoot him.I see all these stories about a Game Warden not giving a ticket. Not some of the ones I have meet.
