she came out with a few others and a couple of young bucks. watched them for a while and then let it rip. The broadhead left a decent trail but we still trailed her about a mile through some thick cedar and creek bottoms and then saw the belly. I've taken a lot of deer with rifle but i haven't been this pumped in a long time.

Awesome. Congrats. Nothing like getting em up close and personal and then taking one with a bow.
You should have been here yesterday!

A hunt based on only trophies being taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be,time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there. -Fred Bear

Great job! Nothing quite like hunting with a bow!

waited about an hour drove back got my brother and my dad went back to camp then went to tracking. The shot destroyed her lungs but she still ran about a mile down hill. we had pretty much lost her blood trail and were tracking by her hoof prints were she was pushing out on one side. That is the only thing that sucks about shooting from a ground blind especially with a slight incline low entry and hi exit, not a lot of blood.

Sounds like you did a great job tracking her down. A lot of hunters would give up.
