My buddy shot a bobcat over the weekend and is looking for a good taxidermist in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Waco area is fine also, since thats where we hunt. Anyone have a recommendation or a warning?

Do not go to Flagg Group. I trust those guys with everything except bobcats. I've seen some awkward looking cats come out of there.

Pick a very good one for a cat taken this time of year, any flaws or mistakes will be more noticable due to them having shorter hair and little to no underfur.

The Lady Taxi that posts here does a lot of cats and bears. Museum stuff too.

I wouldn't mount a cat this time of year wait ad take a winter cat you will be much happier with the mount, but double d in Rockwall does great cats.

Summer cats do have shorter hair and thinner as well but if done right still can produce a nice looking mount. The taxidermist would have to look at the specimen and decide from it. Some cats will work and other won't. Check out our cat we just posted on here on the rockledge.
