There are some round bales going around. Has anyone used this stuff? Looks nasty in a bale, but feed store says it looks that way.

Juncus Gerardii or salt meadow rush, when baled sometimes called salt meadow hay, salt marsh hay, salt hay or black grass.

It's good hay unless it has black grass bugs / beetles or their larva in it.

I wouldn't buy it before having it tested unless the producer or feed store selling it can provide negative test results.
Reach into the center yank out a big handful stuff it in a doubled paper bag and seal the top. Then get it tested.
