Thought we might all learn from a post like this. Some pics would be good here....

Me? For my portable ladder stands: Carpet for my sitting and foot platform to keep things silent, camo painted conduit bent out with several holes in it, to attach camo netting/branches.
I'll flip the carpet upside-down at night to keep it dry(er).

Don't think I have any pics, but I attach a boat seat to all my ladder stands, way more comfy than a cushion.

I didn't do much except cut off the seats back rest. I just lean against the tree and that makes less noise than the waterproof fabric I was rubbing against when I moved before.

on the ladder stands, reverse the foot rest so its more out in front of you, be careful getting out because it now protrudes 3 inches past the steps

add a bar in front of the seat to give a little sitting room or stability if add a boat seat on top to rest on

if its the cheap sportsman guide ladder stand raise the foot rest 3 or 4 inches so its at a more comfortable height

My buddy bolted 3/4" camo-painted plywood on his cheap ladder to expand the foot rest 6 inches. Worked great! I may try that on a new "Game Winner" stand I picked up from Academy for a second stand.
