This was a dry creek in Concho County. We cleaned about 4' of sediment out of it and this is what happened. The rancher has been hauling water to this place for his stock. We cleaned out 2 places in the creed and brought water to the surface both times.

Is this the Brady Creek by any chance? Lots of water in that gravel and silt it looks like.

I was on a ranch southeast of Eden and the wells there were hand dug on this ranch and only 13-15' deep on the banks of a creek that ran into the Brady.

That was a sheep.

The water is about 3' deep at its deepest point.

good work, we did that back in the 2009 drought. We knew about an old spring next to a creek, dug 4 or 5 feet down with the back hoe, adn the creek had water again.

Was there any form of erosion control? From the pics that sediment looks like it's one good gulley washer from being right back where it came from.

Once the mud we pulled out is dry we will come back and spread it, after that it will hair over and stay put.
