Just wondering if anyone has seen many deer there. I'm thinking about trying it this year. Are there a ton of hunters? Thanks for any info!

I have never hunted it personally. I have friends that hunt it and it does have lots of deer and hog in it. As with any WMA access is by mike and ike so be prepared to walk a long way to avoid the crowds.

I figure I could bike in. The roads looked nice enough. Any water in the place besides the river?

Alazan Bayou runs out of Lake Alazan ( on privat property on the north side of FM 2782) and crosses the road to run through the property into the river. I have not been up there this year, but my guess is that is has no water in it. The river at HWY 7 west is about 5 feet wide and ankle deep. My guess is even the river doesn't have that much water in it. So all in all, no, you are not going to find much water in the WMA.

Yes you can bike in. I have done that a lot. In years with normal rainfall, there will be lots of water throughout. Of course, this year...
Except for the opening week of the season, there are only a few hunters, but even they seem to drop off once rifle season comes in as Alazan is archery only.
When I have hunted there, I have seen lots of sign but only a few deer. Wardens I have spoken with who patrol there at night say there are some monsters residing in the WMA.
